GEAVET is a project funded by the European Union within the funding program Erasmus+, category “Capacity Building”. GEAVET is a project composed of a series of initiatives addressing the challenges of climate change and the mismatch between job requirements and the skills provided by the education and vocational training systems in a specific context, namely that of Vocational and Educational Training systems in the field of Agriculture in Sub-Saharan Africa.
These initiatives include activities of research, needs analyses, development of training formats, mobility activities, online campaigns, and conferences. All of these actions are oriented towards the enhancement of T-VET capacities in Sub-Saharan Africa, empowering women and youths in agriculture and boosting digital and green transitions. The results, materials, outputs, and updates of every project activity will be made public and open access via this website and our social media accounts!

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
– Reinforce capacities of VET providers to be better equipped to engage with business associations and enterprises;
– Improve the quality and responsiveness of VET, in the third countries not associated to the Programme, to economic and social developments related to climate change and adaptation to enhance the labour market relevance of skills provisions;
– Align VET provision to local, regional and national development strategis related to green and digital skills.
